Job Description:
**Job Overview**
Drive innovative product development from VOC to launch. Lead cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge connectivity solutions that meet market demands while optimizing time-to-market, development costs, and quality standards. This role combines strategic project leadership with deep technical expertise in electrical/mechanical manufacturing processes such as molding, stamping, plating, and assembly.
**Job Requirements**
**End-to-End Project Leadership (40%)**
+ Own end-to-end NPD projects from VOC through market launch
+ Develop comprehensive project plans including Critical Path Planning (CPP) with cross-functional stakeholders
+ Execute stage-gate methodology ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality deliverables
+ Identify critical path dependencies and proactively mitigate schedule risks
+ Coordinate resources across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Operation and Commercial teams
**Project Financial Planning & Control (25%)**
+ Create and manage project P&L throughout all development phases
+ Conduct early-phase cost modeling for components, tooling, and manufacturing processes
+ Perform financial gate reviews and provide business case recommendations to Project Approval Committee (PAC)
+ Optimize product cost structures while maintaining quality and performance standards
**Stakeholder Communication & Reporting (20%)**
+ Deliver regular project status updates to senior management and PAC
+ Maintain project dashboards and information boards for team visibility
+ Facilitate effective communication across global, cross-cultural teams
+ Escalate critical issues requiring executive intervention with clear recommendations
**Project Requirements Management (10%)**
+ Define and maintain project and product scope in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear documentation of deliverables and boundaries throughout the project lifecycle.
+ Transform Voice of Customer (VOC) into Product Requirements Documents (PRD)
+ Validate design objectives against customer specifications and market needs
+ Manage requirement changes and their impact on project scope/timeline
**Continuous Improvement & Support (5%)**
Drive continuous improvement in project management area and best practice sharing.
**What your background should look like**
**Education & Experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
+ Minimum 5+ years project management experience in electro-mechanical product development
+ Multinational manufacturing company experience strongly preferred
+ Experience with connectivity products or related technologies advantageous
**Technical Competencies:**
+ Proficiency in manufacturing processes: injection molding, stamping, plating, assembly
+ Working knowledge of FMEA, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Six Sigma
+ Advanced MS Project skills and project management tools
+ Understanding of product cost modeling and financial analysis
**Certifications & Methodologies:**
+ PMP, Prince2, or Agile certification preferred
+ Experience with Stage-Gate® or similar NPD methodologies
**Core Competencies:**
+ Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with proactive risk management
+ Exceptional communication and presentation skills in multicultural environments
+ Financial acumen including budget management and contract negotiations
+ Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese (written and verbal)
