Sr Project Manager, Planning and Portfolio Management
Job Description Insight Global is looking for a seasoned Project Manager with a strong background in waterfall project management and experience leading complex transformation initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving cross-functional projects that reshape how work flows across teams, tools, and processes. You’ll be the connective tissue between workstream leads, stakeholders, and executive sponsors—ensuring clarity, alignment, and delivery excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, cross-functional transformation projects. Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics. Manage multiple workstreams, dependencies, risks, and timelines with precision. Facilitate executive-level meetings, steering committees, and stakeholder updates. Tailor communication for diverse audiences—from VPs to frontline contributors. Maintain comprehensive documentation including project plans, RAID logs, charters, and lessons learned. Partner with BAs to manage intake processes and support annual planning and governance. Drive enablement initiatives focused on workflow automation, process design, and portfolio planning. Remove blockers, escalate issues, and ensure stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle. Manage external vendors and hold project teams accountable to scope, schedule, and budget. Skills and Requirements 3–5+ years of hands-on project management experience, ideally in transformation or enablement projects. PMP certification or equivalent, with deep understanding of waterfall methodology and practical application. Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stream projects with cross-functional teams. Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels. Exceptional communication skills—able to navigate both high-level strategy and day-to-day execution. Experience in designing and implementing new processes across HR or People & Culture functions is a plus. Comfortable working with ambiguity and driving clarity through structured planning and documentation. Must-Have Traits: Curious and resourceful—asks the right questions and challenges assumptions.
