Sr Program Specialist
You will report directly to our Operations/Program Manager, and you’ll work out of our Pune, India location on an On-Site (Honeywell Pune Hadapsar Campus) work schedule. In this role, you will impact the organization by implementing project management methodologies that lead to significant improvements in quality, cost, and delivery, ultimately contributing to the overall success of our operations. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** + Serve as the focal point for project planning, execution, and customer communication ensuring satisfaction and excellence. + Lead cross-functional project teams across planning, coordination, scheduling, financials, contract administration, and customer engagement. + Drive on-time execution and define/generate detailed program plans. + Maintain fiscal responsibility by tracking project budgets, forecasts, and actuals. + Ensure a clear and accurate financial picture including cost incurred, forecasting, and payment tracking. + Continuously seek margin expansion opportunities while managing costs effectively. + Track and control solutions within approved budgets. + Prepare and present technical and commercial briefings to customers. + Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with full customer satisfaction. + Prepare and manage commissioning plans and acceptance tests. + Ensure hardware, software, and non-material deliverables meet specifications and contractual requirements. + Manage change orders, document reviews, punch list resolutions, and project close-out. + Assess and allocate resources to ensure adequate project staffing. + Lead multi-disciplinary teams, subcontractors, and service providers to deliver contractual requirements. + Manage third-party suppliers to ensure performance aligns with plan and budget. + Utilize tools such as Microsoft Projects, CORA, Salesforce, and SAP for project management. + Ensure 100% compliance with GMPO, CORA, SOX audit guidelines, and other regulatory standards. + Conduct and participate in regular audits, implementing corrective actions as needed. + Support the sales team during proposal stages; assist in generating and reviewing project proposals. Lead by defining strategy and driving ownership. + Track project status and report regularly through internal and external management reports. + Initiate and manage change control processes to communicate scope changes and their impact. + Participating in and contributing to the creation of pipeline opportunities + Drive order opportunities and change order bookings. + Prepare presentations/workshops to demonstrate value to customers for NPI and BTI products. + Ensure JLRA and HSE assessments for each project with 100% compliance. + Drive HSE guidelines across all portfolios. + Perform risk assessment analysis and maintain accountability for scope conformance. + Contribute to productivity and skill enhancement to increase margins and drive cost-effective solutions. + Mentor and groom resources to promote project management best practices and culture. + Participate in digitalization initiatives to enhance decision-making. + Lead and participate in Six Sigma projects for workflow and process optimization. + Drive technical and financial acumen across the organization. + Lead and drive project coordination across the organization to ensure optimized project execution, business continuity, and alignment with strategic goals. + Foster cross-functional collaboration to streamline workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and enhance operational efficiency. + Ensure seamless integration of project activities with business processes to support long-term sustainability and performance. + Candidate shall be covered under IA-Program Management Incentive Plan. **YOU MUST HAVE** + Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering is a must. + Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Leading or Driving Project Management across Industrial Automation Projects. + At least 7-10 years of experience in engineering and execution of Industrial Automation-based DCS, ESD, and F&G Projects, including EPC engagements and direct customer-facing technical roles. + Up to 30% domestic travel is required based on project needs. + PMI Certification or Post-Graduation in Business Management is an advantage. + Certification in Artificial Intelligence is an advantage. + Strong technical skills in Safety Systems, Networking and Cybersecurity; certifications in these areas are considered an advantage. + Six Sigma Green Belt certification would be preferred. **WE VALUE** + Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing projects. + Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. + Ability to drive results and meet challenging goals Honeywell helps organizations solve the world's most complex challenges in automation, the future of aviation and energy transition.
