Job Description
This position is for a Director of Programs role located in the Saint Louis area, tasked with leading programs for the Heavy Systems Manufacturing line of business. The role involves full life cycle management, including development, production, and sustainment of the business segment.
ResponsibilitiesLead programs for the Heavy Systems Manufacturing line of business.Manage full life cycle of projects including development, production, and sustainment.Oversee multi-million dollar project budgets with strong understanding of government contracts.Coordinate with key stakeholders across supply chain, operations, manufacturing, engineering, and legal departments.Work within the defense industry, ensuring projects meet required deadlines.Touch on 'seedling' lines of business that are currently in development, adapting to evolving program requirements.Essential SkillsExpertise in project and program management, particularly within a defense contract manufacturer.Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and government contract structures.Proficiency in Microsoft program management tools such as Teams and Project.PMP certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or business.9+ years of experience in program management.Work Environment
The role is based west of St. Louis International Airport in a modern facility. This position involves interaction with primary customers, the Army and Air Force, and includes travel to the West Plaines manufacturing facility a couple of times a month. This is a hybrid role with remote work on Mondays and Fridays, and in-office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The organization follows a schedule allowing every other Friday off.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $190000.00/yr.
