Sr Program Consultant
The Senior Program Consultant will play a pivotal role in coordinating and delivering the implementation of the Honeywell Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) solution to our utility clients across all market sectors, with a particular focus on large or “Tier 1” projects. In this consultative position, you will not only manage project delivery but also provide strategic insights and recommendations to enhance project outcomes. As the primary point of contact and representative of Honeywell for AMI projects, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of each project in accordance with contractual terms while prioritizing customer satisfaction and business objectives. In this role, you will work with a diverse team of project managers, coordinators, and supporting roles, tailored to the size and complexity of each project. You will conduct comprehensive reviews of project statuses, manage budgets effectively, and coordinate schedules while delivering detailed status reports to both customers and internal stakeholders. Collaborating closely with technology teams, you will assess project challenges and develop innovative solutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals. Additionally, you will establish mechanisms for monitoring project progress, enabling timely interventions and corrective actions as necessary. **Key Responsibilities:** + Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and adherence to timelines. + Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned. + Create, monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met while identifying opportunities for cost savings and + Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and communication. + Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met while identifying opportunities for cost savings. + Coordinate production schedules and resource allocation to optimize project efficiency and effectiveness. + Proactively identify potential risks and issues, developing and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery. + Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and facilitate discussions around contract modifications as needed. + Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring all team members are informed, engaged, and aligned with project goals. + Prepare and present comprehensive status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and next steps. + Be prepared to travel 25-30% of the time to meet with clients, stakeholders and project team sites as necessary. **YOU MUST HAVE** + Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience + 7+ years’ experience providing a consultative approach to project management managing internal and external stakeholders + PMP/Prince 2 certification + Valid G driver’s license + Ability to obtain CGP (Controlled Good Program) clearance if working out of the Mississauga facility **WE VALUE** + MBA + Experience with large utility projects + A proficient understanding of the principles and best practices in Project Management + Excellent team and communication skills + An ability to take initiative and work with limited direction + An ability to influence across a broader organization Honeywell is an equal opportunity employer.
