What you’ll be doing

As a Day-to-Day Banking Acquisition Channel Management Team member, you will manage and implement the one-year client acquisition plan for chequing and consumer credit card products in Digital Channels.  You will be responsible for supporting key client acquisition and revenue enhancement strategies to maximize profitability and ensure CIBC remains competitive in the marketplace including managing & monitoring key business metrics (new sales, credit card approval rates, activation rates, and utilization rates), evaluating and sizing new chequing and credit card sales opportunities, and identifying opportunities within existing processes and systems for improvement and optimization. You will work with high-performing, highly productive, business, and diverse teams to successfully implement programs that drive revenue growth while maintaining a strong focus on client experience.

How you’ll succeed

Strategic planning - Support the development and execution of client acquisition strategies to achieve targets for chequing and consumer credit card products. Identify and implement new opportunities for credit card client acquisition, assess feasibility and financial impact, and contribute to CIBC’s client experience objectives. Optimize acquisition tactics and marketing budgets to ensure a profitable return on investment.

Leadership - Manage and hold final accountability for the client acquisition strategic plan and related initiatives for chequing and consumer credit card products. Continuously monitor and interpret business results against key performance targets, recommending growth initiatives to drive success.

Analytical expertise - Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial, client, and operational data with the ability to interpret complex information, identify patterns and trends, and assess key business drivers. Derive actionable insights, develop recommendations, and implement changes to improve outcomes. Remain up-to-date on industry developments and competitive positioning in Canada, evaluating best practices to formulate new ideas and maintain CIBC’s competitive edge.

Relationship management - Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with client acquisition strategies. Establish rapport and work effectively with internal and external partners, including Digital Channels, Business Partner Marketing, Client Strategy, Risk Management, Finance, Legal and Compliance, Sales Effectiveness, Technology, other lines of business, and external business partners.

Who you are

You can demonstrate experience in product, project, and stakeholder management along with marketing and communications experience. You have strategic and business planning, business model development, and marketing best practices along with strong analytical skills and have a proven ability to execute net new initiatives.  It's an asset if you have in-depth knowledge of Credit Card business and financial services.

You've completed a Business degree (BBA or MBA preferred).
