In this role, you will manage the performance and lifecycle of offerings by assessing portfolio performance and conducting detailed analysis of segment attractiveness and Honeywell’s position by region. You will operationalize margin and delivery at both material and customer levels and make key portfolio decisions, such as "Core," "Maintain," "Harvest," or "Exit" strategies. Additionally, you will develop and implement a portfolio blueprint, driving process improvements and exploring new business models to enhance portfolio performance.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Define and refine the product strategy, leveraging market needs, competitive analysis, and internal capabilities. This will guide the creation of a product roadmap, outlining key features and enhancements to be delivered over time.
+ Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive threats, using these insights to inform product decisions and uncover growth opportunities. Customer feedback and usability testing will further guide product development.
+ Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to end-of-life, overseeing feature prioritization, development, and product launches. Continuous evaluation of product performance will drive iterations based on customer feedback and market dynamics.
+ Collaborate with engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams to align priorities, timelines, and go-to-market strategies, acting as the primary liaison to ensure effective communication and coordination.
+ Foster strong customer relationships, gathering feedback and insights through regular engagement to drive satisfaction and loyalty. This will involve meetings, workshops, and events to maintain and strengthen customer connections.
+ Monitor competitors and industry trends, conducting analyses to understand strengths and weaknesses. This information will help refine product positioning and develop strategies to maintain competitive advantages.
+ Set and manage revenue targets for the product portfolio, tracking key performance metrics and analyzing data to drive growth. Performance insights will guide efforts to improve revenue, customer acquisition, and retention.
+ Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, keeping them informed throughout the product lifecycle via regular updates and communications to ensure alignment and engagement.
+ Drive innovation by identifying new market opportunities and emerging technologies. Working with R&D, you’ll explore and test new concepts while anticipating future market trends and customers’ needs to plan for long-term success.
**FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Develop a multi-year portfolio roadmap aligned with organizational strategy. Apply "Core," "Maintain," "Harvest," and "Exit" strategies to optimize portfolios, focusing on market trends and STRAP alignment. Continuously assess portfolio performance, address gaps, and prioritize investment in high-growth areas while ensuring smooth integration with Product Management for effective PLM handoffs.
+ Understand the customer landscape and conduct 80:20 segmentation to identify core growth drivers. Synthesize insights from research and customer data to create 80:20 strategies, maximizing profitability and managing mix. Use trends to make informed customer actions and develop growth-focused business plans.
+ Manage the EOL process through updates and clear customer communication. Identify underperforming SKUs for rationalization and use 80-20 analysis to target Long Tail SKUs for EOL. Generate forecasts, plan material disposition, and ensure the NPI pipeline closes gaps from phased-out products.
+ Ensure commercialization readiness, monitor post-launch activities, and update the product roadmap to sustain demand. Analyze market factors affecting volume growth, pricing, and cannibalization while managing SKU ramp-down/up and product discontinuation. Act as a mini-GM, owning portfolio financials (P&L), and implement strategies for demand stimulation and product lifecycle management.
+ Review portfolio changes to adjust demand and supply plans, maintain appropriate inventory levels, and provide SKU-level sales forecasts. Align SIOP plans with strategic objectives, bridging supply-demand gaps in the mid to long term.
+ Compare products to competitors to set performance standards and identify best practices. Understand market size, trends, and competitive landscape across product lines and regions, using SWOT analysis to guide strategy. Continuously assess portfolio competitiveness, address intelligence gaps, and re-evaluate NPIs, pricing, and end-of-life decisions based on market traction.
**TECHNICAL SKILLS:**
+ Ability to analyze performance metrics, create detailed reports, and use data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to communicate insights
+ Understanding financial concepts including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to assess portfolio performance and make informed decisions.
+ Knowledge of methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall to effectively manage and prioritize projects within the portfolio.
+ Capability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with organizational goals and objectives.
+ Skills in conducting market research, competitive analysis, and assessing market trends to inform portfolio decisions.
+ Capability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to portfolio processes, decisions, and performance metrics.
+ Ability to define, track, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of portfolio investments.
