Your Role at Baxter:

Baxter’s Front Line Care business is a 1.1B$ business comprising of Connected monitoring, Respiratory health, Cardiology, Intelligent diagnostic groups.  The products, used by clinicians in acute and ambulatory care settings globally.

Position Overview

A Principal Engineer (Test Architect) for V&V will be responsible for formulating Test strategy , Automation framework, Drive Test quality improvements covering New Product development and sustaining engineering catering to our new and existing product portfolio. The successful candidate will possess solid “hands-on” technical abilities, an excitement and energy for product development, and a passion for their work and the impact it has on meeting the needs of patients.

This position does not have any direct reports. You will need to work collaboratively with R&D and cross functions.

The role is located in the BRD facility in Bangalore India

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

15+ years of solid experience in Test / V&V Activities with Minimum of 5+ years as a Test/V&V Architect for a medical productResponsible for the Test architecture and design of automation framework, makes design choices for new product development, sustenance activities, field issue resolution etc.Prepares ,Reviews and approves the test deliverables for releases/ProjectSolid understanding and implementation of BDDDemonstrates customer focus by ensuring quality of releases and timely resolution of field reported issuesResponsible for analyzing and understanding the requirements.Identifies key module/product level technical risks and assists in developing mitigation and recovery planReview work products and ensure the quality of deliverablesProvides guidance to development and test teams with respect to overall design and development.Leads and coaches V&V team members.Drives the application of principles of SDLC and methodologies like IEC62304,Lean/Agile, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and testing techniques.

Qualifications / Experience and/or Background

Excellent Test architecture, design and implementation skills (preferably for an product ground up)Strong Object-Oriented development and design knowledge and experienceDeep understanding of technology & test development principles:

Analysis and Design: Object oriented architecture, Design Patterns

Programming Languages like Pythonetc.

Development and Continuous Integration tools like Azure DevOps, BitBucket etc.

Hands on working in Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)

Web framework : Express, Java Spring boot, Django

Automation tools : Selenium

Exposure and Hands on working knowledge in BDDExposure and Hands on working knowledge in Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)Demonstrated success in delivering results on technical challenges on enterprise products.Good understanding of Healthcare domain (regulations and standards) and Medical software development process.
