Sr Prin Scheduler Project Execution
**Job Description** We are seeking an experienced Deltek Open Plan Scheduling Subject Matter Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in project scheduling, with a strong focus on Deltek Open Plan. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining complex project schedules, as well as providing expert-level support and training to project teams. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring schedule health IAW Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) 14-point assessment, working with yard and corporate planning leadership to assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, and training new employees. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain complex project schedules using Deltek Open Plan, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to industry best practices including the DCMA. Analyze project data and provide expert-level guidance on project scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management. Collaborate with project managers, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure that project schedules are aligned with project goals and objectives. Provide training and support to employees on the use of Deltek Open Plan, including best practices for project scheduling, data analysis, and reporting for all schedulers as needed , including new employees. Assist in the development of project scheduling standards, procedures, and templates to ensure consistency across the organization. Conduct schedule risk analysis and identify potential issues, providing recommendations for mitigation and resolution. Develop and maintain resource allocation plans, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively. Collaborate with all departments to ensure that project schedules are aligned with organizational goals and objectives and ensure that current procedures capture those objectives where applicable to the scheduling guidelines. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and new features in Deltek Open Plan, applying this knowledge to continuously improve project scheduling processes. Ensure schedule health by monitoring and analyzing schedule metrics, such as critical path, float, and dependencies, and providing recommendations for improvement IAW DCMA guidelines (not contractually enforced). Assist in the Development and implement policies and procedures for project scheduling, including guidelines for schedule development, maintenance, and control. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** Minimum 10 years of experience in project scheduling, with a strong focus on Deltek Open Plan. In-depth knowledge of Deltek Open Plan, including advanced features and functionality. Strong understanding of project management principles, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management. Strong understanding of Work Item (4E Spec) phraseology and requirements for Navy vessels. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex project data and provide expert-level guidance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with project teams and provide training and support. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and deadlines. Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality. Basic knowledge of excel and its application in providing scheduling inputs. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience with other project management tools and software, such as MS Project. Understanding and application of Excel formula use. Knowledge of earned value management (EVM) principles and practices. Experience with project scheduling in a variety of industries, principally in surface ship repair for Navy and non-Navy customers. Experience with government contracting and compliance regulations, including 009-060 and 009-111 schedule submissions. Knowledge of Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) requirements. Provide the necessary degree of standardization required to input and retrieve data. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $105835 - $179920 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
