Job Description

This role provides daily accounting support services to the division and/or plant through: (i) the running of financial and operational reports and  the analysis of the data, (ii) research and query of data, and (iii) assisting in month/quarter/year-end financial closing processes. Level II: Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures and has a moderate level of guidance and direction.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their first priorityPrepare plant and/or corporate reporting activities for the Controller to review relating to:Fixed assetInventorySalesCustomer rebatesStandard costGovernment reportingSupport various aspects of the monthly/quarterly/yearly close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis)Help prepare and assist Plant Controller in annual budgeting processDevelop reports and queries from the financial data for analysis, tracking, and/or reporting data to other departmentsPerform analysis of operating and financial results to identify trends and activities driving those resultsEnsure adequate controls and proceduresMonitor and maintain internal accounting controls  to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirementsAssist internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.Demonstrate and foster the Amcor WayDemonstrate accuracy and timelinessComply with internal controls, accounting policies, and SOXAssist in understanding and explaining financial resultsBusiness Acumen & Partnership

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

Education – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceExperience -  5+ years of experience in business/accounting experience/financial analytics; SAP/ERP experience preferred
