**Position Specific Description**
We are seeking an experienced Senior Reliability Engineer to join our power generation team, focusing on maximizing equipment reliability, availability, and performance across our diverse generation portfolio. This role will lead reliability engineering initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement in maintenance strategies and asset management practices.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Develop and implement comprehensive reliability programs for power generation equipment including turbines, generators, boilers, and auxiliary systems
+ Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) studies to optimize maintenance strategies
+ Lead equipment condition monitoring programs utilizing vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and other predictive technologies
+ Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to develop preventive and predictive maintenance schedules
+ Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and recommend proactive interventions
+ Support outage planning and execution with technical expertise and reliability assessments
+ Mentor and provide technical guidance to reliability engineers and technicians
+ Interface with OEMs and vendors on equipment reliability matters and warranty claims
+ Develop and maintain reliability KPIs and reporting metrics
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
+ 5-8 years of experience in power generation reliability engineering
+ Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, heat exchangers, and power plant systems
+ Experience with condition monitoring technologies and failure analysis techniques
+ Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Professional Engineer (PE) license
+ Proficiency in reliability software tools (MAXIMO, PI System, vibration analysis software)
+ Experience with renewable fuels or alternative energy systems
+ Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certification
+ Previous experience mentoring junior engineers
+ Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (NERC, EPA, OSHA)
