Sr Operator Manufacturing Operations
**Work Schedule** Standard (Mon-Fri) **Environmental Conditions** Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards **Job Description** **Job Title: Sr Operator Manufacturing Operations** **Reports To: Team Lead, Operations** **Location: Bangalore** **Purpose:** Responsible for the day to day running of the designated area, ensuring a safe and organized workplace, high quality output and that the plan needs are met at optimal cost. Adopt and live the Company’s 4-I values (Intensity, Integrity, Innovation & Involvement) **Roles and Responsibilities:** + Support day-to-day manufacturing operations, coordinate with team members, and assist the Manager in achieving departmental goals. + Monitor and work to reduce product loss and wastage; investigate quality failures and implement corrective actions to enhance output and efficiency. + Complete batch records online and update equipment logbooks in real time. + Accurately report routing hours, material issuance, and quantity completion on a daily basis. + Record detailed observations during production activities in batch records, reports, and work orders, adhering to Good Documentation Practices (GDP). + Comply with all company safety regulations. + Promptly report unsafe conditions, hazards, or risks to team members and supervisors. + Support the company’s dedication to quality by identifying and documenting factors that may impact product quality. + Supervise and track laboratory supplies to ensure availability of reagents for daily operations. + Drive productivity improvements and efficiencies within the manufacturing/laboratory environment to deliver cost savings. + Adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks/projects with overlapping deadlines. + Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives such as JDI (Just Do It), PPI (Practical Process Improvement), and Kaizen. + Align with and promote Thermo Fisher Scientific’s 4i Values (Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement). + Perform other related duties as assigned. + Understand and strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for finished goods manufacturing. + Ensure accurate labelling and handling of samples and kits. + Maintain cleanliness, handling, and preventative maintenance of equipment. + Make accurate batch record entries and report any deviations to the supervisor immediately. **Qualifications and Skills** + Bachelor’s degree in any subject area, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the life sciences, biotechnology, or relevant manufacturing operations field. + Hands on experience in E1 ERP system. + Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 standards is a strong advantage. + Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Consistent record to multi-task, prioritize, and handle time effectively in a fast-paced environment. + Customer focused with the flexibility to adapt and respond to diverse tasks and operational demands. + Willingness to work on different shifts and adapt to changing schedules as needed. + Familiar with compliance and regulatory standards relevant to manufacturing or biotech environments.
