This role collaborates closely with our IT Change Enablement and IT Crisis Management teams to ensure seamless execution of critical interventions.

**The role**
We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Service Management professional to join our Global Operations Management team as a Senior Operation Specialist. This role collaborates closely with our IT Change Enablement and IT Crisis Management teams to ensure seamless execution of critical interventions.
The main purpose is to drive excellence in the planning, preparation, execution, and review of critical IT interventions—delivering reliable, predictable, and flawless outcomes.
As a Senior Operation Specialist, you will coordinate complex activities involving 2 to 10+ teams (internal and/or external) and 5 to 50+ indirect contributors. Your focus will be on system maintenance, updates, recovery efforts, and orchestrating cutover activities for both projects and sustain interventions.
Your mission is to manage the teams, the tools and the processes, which enable technical specialists to flawless implementation and reduction of Incidents caused by Interventions a controlled, repeatable and safe way.
**What you’ll do**
+ Planning of Critical Interventions – Host scope sign-off and go/no-go meetings with management and technical stakeholders and ensure that the intervention timeline is reflected in the Global Activity Calendar.
+ Preparation of Critical Interventions – Lead planning and preparation of downtime activities. Create a High-Level Plan and Documented Preparation Activities. Schedule alignment calls and manage communications through the standard outage communication process.
+ Execution and Check of Critical Interventions - Report on execution activities and Timely End-Users and Stakeholders Communication of key milestones.
+ Conduct post-release reviews with technical teams and stakeholders, including root cause analysis and follow-up actions
+ Process Ownership - drive global alignment in ways of working, lead process evolution, maintain documentation and deliver process training across teams.
+ Ensure smooth operation of an ITIL-based Release Management process.

**What will make you successful?**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field or equivalent experience
+ 5+ years' experience in IT Service Management with a focus on Release Management
+ 3+ years' experience in IT/SAP Change Management
+ People Coordination skills to drive and connect distributed teams located in different countries and with different technical and non technical background and experience
+ Ability to develop effective working relationships with peers and management internationally in all the IS/IT organization and Business Streams.
+ Excellent communication in English and strong interpersonal skills both verbal and written at different levels in the organization. Ability to summarize and simplify.
+ Excellent project management skills. Manage priorities while working on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously. Work on weekends and/or outside business hours when required.
+ Proven track record of taking ownership and delivering complex projects and processes in a global networked organization
+ Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
