**Job Description Summary**
The Sr Operations Manager, Service Logistics and Refurbishment is recognized as a senior professional expert in manufacturing and warehouse operations with the ability to lead multiple complex operations. This manager will be responsible for the development and direction of the Surgery refurbishment shop, the service test center, harvest area, and the service warehouse and distribution center.
This manager will develop and implement a shop-wide strategic business plan for the Surgery refurbishment and service logistics operations. This position will be responsible for leading refurb and service operations to meet Surgery business imperatives and defined operational targets such as quality, cost, delivery, and safety. The position will implement actions to improve product and process quality, as well as accelerate and support lean cultural change efforts aimed at achieving organizational goals. This manager will lead people and maintain accountability for the training, development, and performance management of team members on the service logistics and refurbishment teams.
**Job Description**
**Key Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for management of the Refurbishment Operation, Service Warehouse and Test Center operations.
+ Ensure operational alignment with the surgery operation plan and KPIs.
+ Perform weekly/monthly data analysis and drive root cause a well as process improvements to improve productivity as well as part quality.
+ Optimize inventory management and warehouse process improvements.
+ Uses judgment to make decisions or solve complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology.
+ Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
+ Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Develops persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
+ Works with other managers throughout manufacturing to generate continuous improvement ideas and spearheads the implementation of those ideas that lead to bottom line results.
+ Tracks and reports metrics in their functional area to include labor hour consumption, work order completion, inventory accuracy, throughput, capacity and customer complaints. Establishes team goals that meet or exceed established quality standards.
+ Develops and manages operational budget for their functional area.
+ Implements business unit objectives and manufacturing department goals in each functional area. Follows SQDCP and communicates daily goals and results with the team.
+ Monitors and improves productivity, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality and cost-conscious manner.
+ Develops and creates training plans to maximize workforce capability.
+ Leads compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals.
+ Drives LEAN manufacturing implementation.
+ Initiates/executes sustainable process improvements to exceed customer expectations while using lean strategies to drive continuous process improvement.
+ Facilitates workouts, value stream mapping sessions and activities to achieve business results as needed.
+ Supports material review board and non-conforming material processes.
+ Ensures sufficient capacity exists to achieve all customer commitments.
+ Collaborates cross functionally with manufacturing and service to leverage best practices across the business.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
+ 10+ years’ experience with proven leadership in manufacturing or supply chain role.
+ Excellent oral and written communications skills.
+ Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams.
