Senior Network Engineers report to the Senior Manager of Network Engineering. The position’s primary responsibilities are providing technical support to our clients, building enterprise-grade networks and serving as a technical resource for other members of the Engineering team. The Senior Network Engineer should be comfortable with leading, multitasking and wearing several hats. **Job Duties:** Access Networks is the premier provider of enterprise-grade networking solutions for the modern automated home. As such, our Senior Network Engineers must have expert level knowledge of Ruckus Wireless network systems (including ZoneDirector wireless controllers and Unleashed wireless access points), Ruckus/Brocade ICX switches, Cisco IOS switches and routers, Cisco ASAs and "Next Generation" Firewalls (ie Sophos, Fortinet, etc) + Open tickets, diagnose, and resolve escalated Tier 1 and Tier 2 issues with remote clients’ networks. + Program/provision and QC wired and wireless network systems for deployment at remote sites + Provide and maintain thorough documentation of client systems + Create and manage client accounts on ARCC and other network management platforms. + Foster a spirit of collaboration with clients and teammates by coaching and sharing knowledge + Learn new technologies and products + Write/publish (or delegate writing) KB articles to increase the team's institutional knowledge. + Process RMAs for defective products. + Occasional after-hours emergency support for remote clients (usually ISP issues) **YOU MUST HAVE:** + Minimum of 5 years networking experience and current CCNP certification (or equivalent) + Expert understanding of network protocols, firewalls, routers, switching, TCP/IP, STP and RF coverage + Expert understanding of wireless local area networks, authentication, security, and encryption protocols + Experience supporting customer environments in a helpdesk/support capacity + Ability to solve complex technical problems while under pressure and interfacing with clients + Custom electronics design/integration experience and familiarity with home automation systems such as Crestron, Savant, AMX, and Control4 + Excellent written/verbal communication skills. + Must have great organizational skills + Able to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet tight deadlines + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite **WE VALUE:** + Ruckus Wireless Solutions Engineer (WiSE), CWNA/CWNP, ICX/Brocade certifications or equivalent experience + Experience programming and troubleshooting Ruckus Virtual SmartZone environments + Fanatical attention to detail, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization + Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision + Experience with TeamViewer or other remote desktop support applications + Working knowledge of ConnectWise + Python, VBScript, JavaScript, or other scripting experience + Apple or Microsoft certifications + VPN and SSH experience + Web development / database experience \#LI-JS1 Resideo is a $6.76 billion global manufacturer, developer, and distributor of technology-driven sensing and control solutions that help homeowners and businesses stay connected and in control of their comfort, security, energy use, and smart living.
