Job Description:
**Job Overview**
The Data and Devices (D&D) business unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Sr. Manager, Product Management within the External Cable Assembly organization. The external cable assembly portfolio is a critical interconnect across hyperscale and enterprise customers, for their networking communications architecture.
The Sr. Manager Product Management will develop short- and long-range strategies and roadmaps for the product assignment to maximize market potential, sales volume, and profit margin. The Sr. Manager Product Management will interact and collaborate extensively with global cross-functional teams in engineering, sales, marketing, manufacturing, and customer support, as well as the global supply chain, to implement strategies that will achieve diversification in product offering, markets, customers, supply chain and the geographic scope of the business. The Sr. Manager, Product Management will manage aspects of developing and implementing strategies for new business opportunities including active participation in industry standards organizations and influencing key decisions that will directly impact the long-term competitiveness and success of the Product Lines. In addition to product pipeline and growth responsibilities, as a Sr Manager, there will be a direct reporting structure. Team growth and talent development will also be critical parts of the job description.
**Role Responsibilities**
• Market Sensing: creates a market back roadmap for our products in this market space.
• Execution: Responsible for leading a cross-functional team to deliver major customer programs, typically consisting of multiple projects or sub-projects, within budget and time limitations, by technical specifications, and in fulfillment of profit objectives.
• Business Development: develops winning bid packages with sales, engineering, and system architecture teams for major customer opportunities.
• Analyzes competitive offerings and develops value propositions to beat them.
• Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met; arranges modifications as required and evaluates program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics.
• Assembles cross-functional program team with members from engineering, procurement, sales, production, materials management, quality, etc., serving as the main point of contact for the customer for all negotiations, decision-making, scheduling issues, and problem-solving throughout the program.
• May supervise the work of program or project staff to ensure that work is completed on time or by established standards or specifications.
• Owns the S&OP forecast every month.
• Organizes the storyboards for future investment and expansion of the portfolio and presents them to Senior Leadership for funding.
**What your background should look like:**
• 10+ years of product management, sales, business development, or other relevant experience.
• Expertise in high-speed I/O cable assemblies and/or I/O Connecotrs.
• Relevant high-speed interconnect product or cloud/AI industry experience desired.
• 4-year technical or business degree required.
• Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant P&L management experience preferred.
• Strong business acumen with an ability to understand technically complex concepts.
• Creative and innovative thinker able to provide input on the development of product strategies and relevant business plans with the ability to execute.
• Proven ability to multi-task and drive results in a dynamic, high-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, planning, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Experienced leader with an ability to influence cross-functional teams and build strong relationships both internally and externally.
• Advanced presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to foster understanding and acknowledgment of critical information both up and down the organization.
• Experience successfully negotiating large programs within the cloud/AI/enterprise marketplace.

**COMPENSATION**
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $165,000 - $215,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
