About the Role:

As a Senior Manager, Associate Creative Director (ACD) for the Stores Ecosystem team, you will lead art directors, copywriters and production designers focused on developing print collaterals for in-store marketing and omni-channel marketing campaigns to promote Target Stores. Your team will be responsible for developing breakthrough content from concept through execution focused on design and storytelling that resonates with guests while achieving marketing and business goals.
 

You’ll partner across functions including creative, strategy, merchandising, technology, and production. This role requires strong hands-on creative ability and the skill to clearly communicate ideas and direction across levels, including senior leadership. You’ll also help define retail + digital strategy and lead the expansion of capabilities across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and grow a creative team—developing expertise in creative direction and production design.

Drive operational efficiency by streamlining workflows and scaling processes.

Leverage AI and emerging technology to improve speed and effectiveness in creative execution.

Guide creative solutions in alignment with Target’s brand vision and guest experience.

Serve as a consultant for process improvement, sharing best practices across teams.

Provide strategic and creative direction on high-priority, business-critical projects.

Deliver clear guidance during ambiguity and maintain a strong creative point of view.

Review and elevate work based on creative quality, guest journey, and marketing goals.

Foster strong cross-functional partnerships with global Marketing & Digital and Target Creative leadership.

Champion faster, smarter, and more innovative ways of working.

What makes you a strong fit:

10+ years of experience in creative and production across various media channels, especially print design or packaging.

Bachelor’s / master’s degree in design / marketing / communication

Proven leadership experience, including talent development and performance management.

A portfolio that demonstrates creative range and strategic problem-solving.

Strong expertise in design tools, creative technologies, and AI applications in design.

Strong art direction, visual design, and conceptual thinking skills.

Understanding of in-store marketing, prior experience in print is a plus

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to align stakeholders.
