2nd Shift: Mon-Fri 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM // 10% shift diff

Key Responsibilities:

As a Sr Process Technician, you will play a crucial role in our maintenance team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. Performing all actions related to the preventive maintenance program of the CompanyIntervening in production issues related to mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical maintenancePerforming tooling changes, machine setups, and making in-process adjustmentsRebuilding, calibrating, and configuring sealing components and controlsDocumenting clear and detailed information regarding machine downtime, repairs, and critical process controlsAssisting with the start-up and shutdown of machinesEngaging in continuous improvement projectsParticipating in equipment installationTesting equipment to ensure efficiency and performance needs are metMaintaining, repairing, and rebuilding various production machines and equipmentFollowing all safety and cGMP requirements

Minimum Requirements:

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

Post-secondary education degree with a combination of 2+ years of experience, or 4+ years of experience within a related fieldStrong mechanical competenceAbility to diagnose and repair a wide variety of equipment based on industrial process controls and pneumatics, including PLC Programmable Logic Controllers, reed switches, valves, relays, temperature controllers, and solenoidsUnderstanding and performing LOTO proceduresStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesGood verbal and written communication skillsBasic math skillsAbility to follow complex proceduresAttention to detail while maintaining a quality productAbility to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

Post-secondary education in a related field with 3+ years of experience3+ years of manufacturing equipment repair (electrical, pneumatic, mechanical)Production experience in a CGMP or Lean manufacturing environmentStrong leadership skillsFamiliarity with mechanical drawings and operation sequences

This role requires the ability to:

Work in a fast-paced controlled cleanroom environment for 8 hours a day with additional overtime as neededOperate in a controlled environment with specific gowning requirements including gloves, hair & beard net, face cover, safety glasses, and no makeup/jewelryUse PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and understand chemical hygieneFollow all safety protocolsStand and move about including reaching, bending, stooping, and graspingUse hand tools and equipment, including forceful gripping, grasping, pushing, and pullingOccasionally lift and manipulate up to 50 pounds unassisted
