Job Description
The Senior Mechanical Designer is responsible for reviewing the calculations and drawings of designers assigned to various projects. This role involves managing multiple projects simultaneously, each with a dedicated designer, and overseeing plumbing aspects with a single plumbing designer. The position requires identifying knowledge gaps among designers and providing training to minimize future errors.
ResponsibilitiesReview calculations and drawings completed by designers to ensure accuracy and completeness.Train designers to address knowledge gaps and reduce redlines in future projects.Verify calculations and review drawings, redlining any mistakes or missing items.Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring each has a dedicated designer.Oversee drawing revisions resulting from code and city reviews.Act as the project manager for multiple retail and restaurant projects simultaneously.Review HVAC Mechanical and Plumbing portions of drawings.Run all calculations for projects to check designers' work.Essential SkillsExpert level proficiency in AutoCAD.Experience in project coordination and management.Design experience in HVAC, plumbing, and MEP.Ability to act as a project manager for multiple projects.Additional Skills & QualificationsRevit experience is desirable but not required.Experience in fast turn-around projects such as retail and restaurant rollouts.Work Environment
Arcivision offers a fully remote work environment for employees not local to St. Louis, with up to 75% of the team working remotely. Local employees are required to be in the office two days per week every other week, totaling four days per month.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
Health Insurance
All full time Associates are entitled/provided Group Insurance through a company program.
ArcVision pays 100% of the monthly premium for full time Associates. Associates are responsible
for paying a portion (set amount determined by the company) of the additional coverage for
spouse and families. Associates are eligible and make the choice to enroll on the first of the
following month after their 30th day of employment.
Dental Insurance
All full time Associates are entitled/provided Group Insurance through a company program. The
employee pays 100% of the premium for themselves and their dependents. Associates are
eligible and make the choice to enroll on the first of the following month after their 30th day of
employment.
AFLAC Insurance
All full time Associates are entitled/provided AFLAC Insurance through a company program.
The employee pays 100% of the premium through payroll deduction for themselves and their
dependents. Associates are eligible and make the choice to enroll on the first of the following
month after their 30th day of employment.
Disability Insurance
ArcVision pays 100% of both a short and long term disability policy along with a life insurance
policy for all eligible Associates. Eligibility begins after the 90 days of employment.
Retirement Plan
After 1 year of continuous employment, Associates are eligible to participate in the company
sponsored 401K plan for tax deferred retirement savings. Eligible employees will be able to
participate in the program on January 1st or July 1st following eligibility.
Holidays
ArcVision recognizes the 6 major holidays. Employees are eligible for Holiday pay after their 90
days of employment.
PTO (Paid Time Off)
The amount of PTO time which an employee is entitled to is dependent upon their length of
continuous full-time service as follows:
Years of Continuous Full-Time Service PTO Time Earned
Less than one year Prorated (after 90 days)
1 year to 4 years 15 working days
5 years to 9 years 20 working days
10 years or more 25 working days
PTO Birthday
Eligible after 90 days - a single day on or near your birthday. Timeframe explained in more detail
in employee manual
