Job Description
The Sr Mechanical Designer will be responsible for reviewing calculations and drawings of designers assigned to multiple projects. This role includes overseeing plumbing designs and identifying knowledge gaps among designers, providing training to enhance accuracy and reduce future redlines. The designer will engage in project coordination, management, and verification of calculations while reviewing drawings and redlining any errors or omissions.
ResponsibilitiesReview calculations and drawings of assigned designers for multiple projects.Oversee plumbing designs and manage related revisions from code and city reviews.Identify knowledge gaps among designers and provide training to reduce future redlines.Perform calculations and verify accuracy of designers' work.Manage drawing revisions from code and city reviews.Ensure drafting/design work aligns with customer requirements for retail and restaurant projects.Essential SkillsExpert level ability in AutoCAD.Experience in project coordination and management.Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, and MEP design.Ability to run calculations to verify designers' work.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in fast turn-around projects such as retail/restaurant rollouts.Revit proficiency is advantageous but not required.Work Environment
This position offers a fully remote work environment for employees not located in St. Louis, with up to 75% of the team working remotely. Local employees are required to be in the office only two days every other week (four days per month).
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
Health Insurance
All full time Associates are entitled/provided Group Insurance through a company program.
Company pays 100% of the monthly premium for full time Associates. Associates are responsible
for paying a portion (set amount determined by the company) of the additional coverage for
spouse and families. Associates are eligible and make the choice to enroll on the first of the
following month after their 30th day of employment.
Dental Insurance
All full time Associates are entitled/provided Group Insurance through a company program. The
employee pays 100% of the premium for themselves and their dependents. Associates are
eligible and make the choice to enroll on the first of the following month after their 30th day of
employment.
AFLAC Insurance
All full time Associates are entitled/provided AFLAC Insurance through a company program.
The employee pays 100% of the premium through payroll deduction for themselves and their
dependents. Associates are eligible and make the choice to enroll on the first of the following
month after their 30th day of employment.
Disability Insurance
Company pays 100% of both a short and long term disability policy along with a life insurance
policy for all eligible Associates. Eligibility begins after the 90 days of employment.
Retirement Plan
After 1 year of continuous employment, Associates are eligible to participate in the company
sponsored 401K plan for tax deferred retirement savings. Eligible employees will be able to
participate in the program on January 1st or July 1st following eligibility.
Holidays
Company recognizes the 6 major holidays. Employees are eligible for Holiday pay after their 90
days of employment.
PTO (Paid Time Off)
The amount of PTO time which an employee is entitled to is dependent upon their length of
continuous full-time service as follows:

Less than one year Prorated (after 90 days)
1 year to 4 years 15 working days
5 years to 9 years 20 working days
10 years or more 25 working days
PTO Birthday
Eligible after 90 days - a single day on or near your birthday. Timeframe explained in more detail
