The Sr Marketing Specialist is a high performing contributor that serves as a marketing subject matter expert and works to facilitate and support marketing functions and projects. This role is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of various marketing activities.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
Develop marketing materials for various platforms. Participate in the development and communication of product strategy and the introduction of new products with various departments and customers. Support the needs of customer accounts with product launches and other training activities. Conduct various financial analysis including product line forecasts, inventory planning, pricing, and gross margin analysis, and manages project budget to meet company goals. Analyze market data and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives. Drive projects with Marketing Services to develop boards and ensure on time in-store execution. Assist with marketing campaigns as part of the strategic annual plan to expand market share and pursue aggressive growth targets. Facilitate day-to-day marketing support for various teams. Help manage and strategize the development of product sales tools and marketing campaigns to support product launches. Organize and manage online assets for specific accounts to optimize sales and identify areas of improvement. Influence others on company policy and procedure to resolve a wide range of issues. Recognized within team or departmental area as a subject matter expert and coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals. Make process and business decisions based on understanding of company and customer as well as industry practices, standards, and trends. Find ways to assess and apply innovative ideas to enhance business results. Successfully lead after-action reviews to identify, document, and share lessons learned. Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate technical, system, and process improvements. Perform other duties as needed.
Required Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience. 4-6 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
Competencies:
Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline. Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data. Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products. Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once. High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
