What You’ll Be Doing 

 

As an integral member of the Client Segments team, reporting to the Sr. Director, Newcomer Client Strategy, the Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for bringing insights aligned to Newcomer client segment goals, with market research and expertise in the design, development and execution of key strategic initiatives.

How You’ll Succeed

Stakeholder Management - Collaborate with and align diverse stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-impact initiatives at the right time. Foster strong engagement by effectively managing competing priorities and needs, while setting clear expectations across all levels of the organization.

Client Insights and Engagement Strategy - Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including journey mapping, to gain a deep understanding of client needs and inform strategies to attract, engage, and retain clients. Analyze market trends to identify competitive gaps in client engagement and experiences. Evaluate the existing newcomer client engagement framework to identify areas for improvement and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and channels, through ideation sessions to uncover new opportunities for enhancing engagement with newcomer clients.

Analytics and Reporting - Collaborate with Enterprise Analytics, Finance, and Client Strategy Insights teams to assess the current methodology for Newcomer metrics reporting, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement. Utilize data to uncover trends and generate deep client insights for the segment, shaping strategies to attract new clients to CIBC and support the development and execution of key strategic initiatives. Establish clear frameworks for forecasting market share and growth to support board-level KPI reporting. Contribute to the implementation of foundational capabilities aimed at attracting new clients, including the launch of relevant offers, product bundles, and partnerships. Work across products and channels to design integrated solutions and strategies tailored to the needs of CIBC’s most critical client segments.

Collaboration and Strategic Recommendations - Build strong relationships across partner groups, including Product, Channel, Marketing, and enterprise teams (e.g., Client Experience, Digital, Technology), to drive alignment and shared goals. Effectively influence without authority by fostering trust, collaboration, and consensus, while developing impactful storyboards and whitepaper recommendations to present at Executive Forums.

Who You Are 

You can demonstrate 1 to 2 years of work experience in insights generation, business case development, and delivering impactful presentations to drive decision-making.

You can demonstrate 1 to 2 years of work experience in end-to-end product evaluation, including product structure, cost analysis, and ROI assessment. You excel at tying recommendations to measurable success metrics, such as KPIs, and collaborating with lending and card partners to ensure programs are tailored for newcomer clients. Additionally, you have experience working with product teams to develop compelling product offers and designing acquisition and retention strategies that align with organizational goals.
