Job Duties: Prepare, execute, and report non-functional testing (Performance, Scalability, Resiliency) initiatives across Schwab Technology Services. Troubleshoot test environment issues; ensuring the test environments are operational before any tests are executed. Provide detailed test reports to support accurate evaluations of systems under test prior to release to production. Work closely with other Schwab performance engineers to design and execute tests of complex performance and reliability problems. Create, maintain, and execute performance, stress, capacity, resiliency, and load test scripts for multiple projects. Interact with business and development resources across the enterprise to ensure tests are executed accurately, and any scalability issues are identified and remediated successfully. Identify correct workloads and performance Service Level Agreements. Report performance-related defects to Delivery teams; work with these teams to support further debugging and root-cause analysis. Provide day-to-day technical guidance and advocacy on all non-functional testing concerns across to multiple Agile teams comprised of developers, tech leads, Scrum Masters, and testing engineers. Leverage application monitoring tools & logs to support testing. Conduct peer-reviews of application performance test results ensuring accuracy, clarity, and completeness.

What you have

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master's in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, or a related field and 72 months of related experience (72 months progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience w/Bachelor’s or 48 months w/Master’s) in a related occupation. . Experience must include 36 months of experience involving the following: Design and developing performance test scenarios using LoadRunner, JMeter and Gatling tools; Load test scripting for Web (Http/Html) and web server protocols; Performance tests, including Load, Stress, spike and scalability testing; Java, Linux, and Python programming languages, SQL stored procedures, and performance tuning with Oracle queries; Performance bottleneck identification for Java applications with monitoring tools, AppDynamics, Splunk, Splunk, Grafana, SQL Profiler, GC easy, Heap hero, and Fast Thread; CICD/DevOps Tools including Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitHub; and Kafka event processing, publishing and subscription configuration, and performance monitoring. .

 

We offer competitive pay and benefits. Starting compensation depends on related experience. Annual bonus and other eligible earnings are not included in the ranges above.
