Location/Division Specific Information

·             Senior Manager, Project Management, is part of the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) within the Analytical Instrumentation Group (AIG) and reports to the Director of the CAD Program Management Office. This position will be site-based at one of CAD's sites in Europe, with a travel expectation of 0-15%.

·             CAD provides a diverse mix of analytical instruments and associated services to a broad range of end-user markets, including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Energy, Mining, Life Science Manufacturing, and Recycling.

·             Its instruments are deployed both in the field and on production lines, in environments where customers prioritize robustness, reliability, and ease of use. CAD is a complex division with a global footprint, a broad product portfolio, and a diverse customer base.

Job Description

·             You will use project management and team leadership skills to drive projects from inception through implementation and completion.

·             This role requires the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and calls for strong communication and leadership skills, combined with experience in R&D and project management.

·             The position collaborates closely with the Vice President, General Managers, and R&D Director of the PPA Business Unit

What You Will Do:

·             Define, maintain, and implement project management methodology, including processes, tools, metrics, and policies to ensure efficiency, quality, and business success.

·             Lead day-to-day PMO team activities, running the project portfolio to ensure achievements, targets, and commitments are met through effective resource, scope, issue, and risk management.

·             Handle program changes in alignment with change management plans to control scope, quality, schedule, cost, and contracts.

·             Address program issues by identifying effective courses of action that consider constraints and objectives to enable continued progress.

·             Assemble program status and data through the program management information system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

·             Perform follow-up tasks on projects and related activities, encouraging collaboration, defining roles, assessing skills, providing mentorship, and handling conflicting priorities.

·             Support and lead the team; be accountable for the growth and development of Project Managers.

How to Get Here:Education:

·             Bachelor’s degree required

·             Advanced degree or PMP certification preferred

Experience:

·             Minimum 7+ years of related experience

·             Experience leading multiple projects and teams across a matrixed organization

·             Strong talent management and people development skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·             Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Project, Teams, and Excel

·             Strong attention to detail, interpersonal, and time management skills

·             Excellent verbal and written communication

·             Strong documentation and interpersonal abilities

·             Ability to interact expertly with diverse leaders, managers, and subject matter experts

·             Capable of balancing long-term (strategic) and short-term (tactical) decision implications

·             Excellent critical thinking, crisis management, and decision-making skills

·             Proven conflict resolution and team leadership abilities

·             Track record of timely project delivery

·             Executive presence and the ability to communicate efficiently at all levels
