Sr Manager, Marketing & Revenue Forecasting

JOB SUMMARY
Manage the revenue forecasting process within the Marketing department to ensure that goals, objectives and growth trends align with forecasted revenue performance. Develop and execute an analytical framework that effectively measures subscriber and revenue performance throughout the marketing and sales pipeline.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experienceDevelop companywide revenue forecasts/budgets and measure performance to planInvestigate marketing and revenue performance to identify factors that drive performance, describe reasons for variance from plan and identify potential levers to accelerate growthComplete analysis to explain monthly, quarterly and yearly variances on revenue performance metrics vs planWork effectively with large datasets to manipulate raw data into meaningful informationEnhance current revenue models by increasing data integration and automation standards within the model without compromising the accuracy of the informationCreate subscriber revenue analyses to include average revenue per customer and net contribution per customer metricsMaster the story behind the numbers. Be responsible for the accuracy and the predictability of the revenue forecastPartner closely with Finance for performance analysis, executive reporting, revenue allocations and logic, direct cost drivers and activity allocations to marketsAssist in ad hoc information and reporting requests from the business unit leadersPerform other duties as required by supervisor

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishAbility to professionally interact with others to gain support for ideas, proposals, projects and solutionsAbility to build and foster collaborative relationships by developing, maintaining and strengthening partnerships with others inside or outside the organizationKnowledge of budgets, P&L reports, systems and proceduresKnowledge of cable television products and servicesProcess and systems thinker - Comfortable working in complex environments, process oriented and able to conceptualize the entire lead and customer lifecycleDetailed and analytical - Understands numbers, data, the need for measurable processes; detail oriented; ability to project manageProficient with database applications and writing complex queries against the data to effectively resolve problemsAbility to translate detailed trends and statistics into executive-level reporting and presentationsAbility to prioritize and organize effectivelyAbility to develop models to analyze and interpret data, using business intelligence (BI)/analytics toolStrong technical skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access and SQL

Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Statistics, Finance, Economics or related field


Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Modeling experience - 6+
Technical skills, including SQL - 5+
Marketing/financial analysis experience - 6+
Budget and forecasting preparation or related experience - 6+
Management experience - 3+

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Knowledge of cable television products and services
Essbase and MicroStrategy

Office environment
Minimal travel might be required
