Schwab Advisor Services is building out a Wealth Services team to drive new digital product strategy for a broader set of wealth management tools. This could include capabilities supporting estate planning, tax management, and alternative investment integration among other things. The team may also support unique offerings for specific client segments as well, like ultra high net worth. This Director role and the their team will have high visibility across executive leadership.
This role is on a new team will pair with other business strategy, digital product development, and offer teams to conceive a future ecosystem combining traditional wealth management capabilities and custody services in a seamless way. Specifically, the Sr. Manager will be responsible for defining the digital components of the offer, considering both proprietary solutions and third-party integrations to create the best experience for advisors. This role will develop product requirements in partnership with a broad set of business, technology, operational, and service stakeholders. They’ll look to align proposed features and development plans with Schwab business objectives, considering speed-to-market, long-term infrastructure needs, and advisor experience. The role is also responsible for project managing the development of a new offer, including running regular executive and project team steering committee meetings for input and updates. This role will not directly manage engineering teams (i.e. will not play the Product Owner role in scrum ceremonies). Instead, they will plan the high-level requirements for any digital components and work closely with other product teams or third-party partners in requirements handoff and execution oversite.

Deeply understand Schwab Advisor Center’s current technology offerings and the new opportunities Schwab is pursuing in creating these offeringsRefine early, high-level concepts for new product offerings and translate them into draft digital experiences that will resonate with advisors and align to Schwab’s strategic prioritiesDevelop relationships with key business stakeholders; regularly collaborate with SMEs and key partners to ensure holistic product design and go-to-market planning to support the new features, including but not limited to marketing plans, operations support, and service modelManage discovery efforts for the team to vet new ideas through formal and informal research with target customersManage your projects including partner deliverables to ensure a strong pace in new offer developmentDevelop business cases and forecasted outcomes What you haveRequired Experience & Skills:
Bachelor's degree4+ years’ experience designing and/or building digital productsFinancial Services experience Developing a product vision through research, trends, and business case evaluationStrong drive to activate progress; ability to self-start and develop plans from an initial directionStrong relationship-building and collaboration skills to partner effectively with SMEs and project contributorsExcellent communications skills –Ability to create PowerPoints that support productive meetings, summarize complex issues, and drive decision making. Presentation skills for meetings with senior executives. Ability to facilitate collaboration sessions virtually or in-person with peers and partners.Strong project management skills – Able to develop project plans and manage various contributors and stakeholders to be accountable to the plan.
