Cloud Infrastructure Business Operations (CIBO) leads the business level infrastructure requirements and costs at Apple. CIBO manages, reports and optimizes 1PC and 3PC Infrastructure investments in partnership with Finance, Corporate Procurement and Engineering teams. CIBO combines individual business demands into an aligned infrastructure signal for Apple Cloud Platforms (1PC) and 3rd Party Cloud providers (3PC). CIBO engages with each line of business on their annual infrastructure plans and budgets.
CIBO has three discrete teams, CIBO Demand, CIBO Supply and CIBO Cloud Management and Analytics.
CIBO is looking for a senior manager or leader to build a new function, Cloud Infrastructure Decision Support. This role will work closely with executives on the capacity planning to support Apple’s LLMs and Generative AI infrastructure roadmap. This role will inform strategy and infrastructure investments needed to support the Apple’s Intelligence roadmap.
**Description**
This leader will be responsible for working across Apple to consolidate demand and requirements for generative AI resources, LLMs and the infrastructure strategy. The leader will be responsible for defining requirements, initiating engagements, tracking business use cases for features and products that will drive growth of accelerated compute, LLMs and inference at Apple.
Technical analysis, effective communications and strategic thinking is essential to leading this team.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ BS in Engineering, Economics or Data Science
+ 5+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure
+ 10+ Years of experience in engineering operations, product management or developer productivity
+ 5+ years people management responsibility
+ Expert organizational and communication skills
+ Willingness to initiate and iterate on models in an evolving space to build frameworks
+ Strong knowledge of infrastructure operations including foundation models and accelerated compute.
+ Experience leading and developing Executive Presentations
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ 5+ Experience in product or program management
+ Strong business understanding and experience managing cost and optimizations programs in infrastructure
+ Experience working with Engineering leaders on the balance of performance, cost and innovation
**Pay & Benefits**
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $243,100 and $365,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
