What you'll be doing
You will be joining the Core Banking & Payment Technology team within CIBC and be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Business Systems Analysts. Your mandate is to bring strong performance management to amplify team outcomes and enable transformation to deliver quality requirements faster for project success
How you'll succeed
Direct People Leadership: Provide clarity around roles and responsibilities, priorities and invest in talent career development. Give timely coaching, feedback, and support professional development, helping each individual reach their full potential. Lead the team to meet and exceed goals around productivity, efficiency and effectiveness. Contribute to the department’s, financial, and workforce planning. champion change by guiding your team through periods of transformation with adaptability and resilience
Relationship Management: Act as a trusted consultant to the business and proactively build relationships to understand their current state, short and longer-term priorities and needs. Recommend solutions and ideas that drive both customer and business outcomes. Ensure team members cut through siloes to engage delivery partners across the bank and collaborate with the PMO, Design, Development and QA functions to deliver projects
Planning and Delivery: Business Value Orientation: Skill in translating customer/business needs into system requirements without losing sight of outcomes. Consult with business leaders, designers, and project management on the best strategy and options to meet client and business objectives. Create and manage metrics dashboards to showcase productivity, costs, demand, supply and spend; using a data driven approach for decision making. Ensure resources are aligned with current and future delivery needs

Who you are
You can demonstrate experience with: at least 5 – 10 years of industry experience and several years in people leadership.

Communication & Translation: Clear writing, structured facilitation, and the ability to “translate” between business stakeholders and technical teams. Able to engage with all levels - technical and non-technical - within the organization.
Systems and Journey thinking: Capability to trace how business requirements impact end-to-end customer experiences and data flows across multiple banking systems
Technical acumen & AI capabilities: The ability to understand solution designs and patterns and translate business requirements to systems and solution requirements and design impacts. Demonstrate application and learning in AI to enable. A) Continuous improvement: in the business and delivery of requirements. B) Transformation: re-invent and re-engineer how we achieve outcomes faster. Experienced in developing business and solution requirements in user story format utilizing collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
You have a degree/diploma in Post-secondary degree/diploma in business or computer science or equivalent experience.
