Sr GMS Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Mobility Services (GMS) Supervisor to manage the immigration & mobility programs for the APAC region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and compliant move of talent across the region, supporting business workforce strategies, and providing expert advice on international tax, immigration, and social security matters by partnering with our key service partners.
**Key Responsibilities:**
As the Immigration Leader, you will play a crucial role in leading the country's immigration program and managing the immigration team. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring compliance with immigration laws and regulations, providing advisory and support to employees and the business, and driving continuous improvements in immigration processes. Additionally, you will focus on maintaining accurate records of all immigration activities, exploring opportunities for process automation, and establishing strong partnerships with government authorities and internal stakeholders.
+ Oversee the end-to-end mobility process for employees deploying from the APAC region, mainly on the Project Mobility space ensuring compliance at core.
+ Provide expert advice on mobility programs, including cost estimates, compliance obligations, and best practices.
+ Collaborate with various departments, including HR, finance, legal, and other GMS team members and peers in other regions to ensure seamless mobility planning and execution.
+ Manage relationships with external service providers, such as tax, immigration, and relocation vendors, to ensure high-quality service delivery.
+ Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
+ Monitor and report on key mobility metrics, including cost, compliance, and employee satisfaction.
+ Identify training opportunities and support to HR and business leaders on mobility-related topics.
+ Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the mobility program.
+ Lead and oversee the country's immigration program.
+ Manage and provide leadership **to the immigration team.**
**Performance & Succession Management**
Drive the performance of immigration services for the region.
Develop contingency plans for unexpected events affecting immigration operations.
Ensure the immigration team is well-prepared to respond to emergencies impacting employees' immigration statuses.
Develop and implement a comprehensive career succession and development plan for each direct report.
Identify and nurture talent within the team, providing opportunities for skill enhancement and career advancement.
**Escalation and Reporting:**
Handle escalations for direct reports.
Report on the performance and challenges to higher management.
**Policy Development and Implementation:**
Develop and update immigration policies and procedures in alignment with evolving laws and business needs. Ensure effective implementation of new policies and provide necessary training to the immigration team and relevant stakeholders.
**Risk Management:**
Identify potential risks and challenges in immigration processes.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
**Vendor Management:**
Manage relationships with external vendors providing immigration-related services.
Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and explore cost-saving opportunities.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct regular data analysis on immigration trends, turnaround times, and compliance metrics.
Generate insightful reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
**Employee Education and Awareness:**
Conduct training sessions for employees to increase awareness of immigration policies, procedures, and regulations.
Provide regular updates on changes in immigration laws and their potential impact on employees and stakeholders.
**Technology Integration:**
Explore and implement technology solutions to streamline immigration processes and improve efficiency.
Collaborate with Regional Team to integrate immigration systems with other enterprise tools.
Implement and manage Digital Transformation tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Conduct regular process assessments and identify Continuous Improvement areas for optimization and automation.
**Audit and Compliance Checks:**
Conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance with immigration laws.
Prepare for and participate in external audits, providing necessary documentation and information when requested by the Government authorities.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in global mobility or a related field.
+ Strong knowledge of international tax, immigration, and social security regulations.
+ Excellent project management and organizational skills.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
+ Extensive experience in immigration management with a track record of leadership.
+ In-depth knowledge of immigration laws and regulations.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Experience in process improvement and automation initiatives.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
+ Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities and external partners.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ Certification in Global Mobility (e.g., GMS, CRP).
+ Experience working in a multinational corporation.
This role will report into the Regional Immigration & Mobility Leader.
