The Amazon Advertising FP&A team is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join the team. The role will help establish and monitor OpEx, Goals, and broader leadership reporting (MFR). The SFA will partner closely with Data Engineers and Business Intelligence Engineers to build tools (with AI functionality) that will create enhanced visibility in these areas. This role will work closely with Sales teams, regional Finance PoCs, and Ads Central FP&A.
This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities, high business acumen and strong interpersonal skills to partner with Finance Sales and Product teams. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Key job responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Establish new metrics and validation
- Lead reporting and deep dives
- Maintain and develop standard reporting cadence and metrics for leadership benchmarking
- Contribute with deep-dive analyses and insights in Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews

About the team
The Ad Sales Finance team supports the global ad sales organization around the world.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
