This person will be a member of the Escalation team, researching complex issues for a leading medical software company. The role investigates issues by analyzing problems and exploring the baseline program to determine the root cause, leading to resolution. It will encompass both the system environment and the software application, in which the person will need to have advanced
knowledge of the application and the environment in which it can be deployed to facilitate advanced troubleshooting and solution delivery.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Investigate and resolve issues as they are received from varying sources in the company in a timely manner.Evaluate the application and the issue reported, with steps for replication to understand the problem and provide a solution for the issue.Evaluating and recommending server configuration changes to address issues, improve performance. When a defect is determined, will write the associated bug for further evaluation.Facilitate growth and learning by educating team members.Assist in creating innovative tools and processes to assist the team as well as others.Working closely with other team members to coordinate assignments and communicate progress and/or difficulties.Participation in department-specific and project-wide meetings.Providing input, solutions, and recommendations.

Qualifications:

BS or BE in Computer Science or a related field and/or equivalent work experience.Deploying hardware and software in an enterprise environment.5-8 years’ working with a support team including sustaining development and maintenance of existing products with a proven track record of delivering successful results.Fluent in the language of your assigned region.Microsoft Windows Server environments (Server 2012, Server 2016) 3+ years.IIS Configuration as it relates to high performance web applications 3+ years.Deploying hardware and software in an enterprise environment 3+ years.Experience working with web technologies such as ASP.Net, MVC and JavaScript 3+ years.Network LAN/WAN and related components like DNS and network switches and load balancers 1+ years.Self-directed with excellent time management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Inquisitive and creative with good problem-solving skills.Resourceful and thorough with a strong sense of urgency.Strong Analytical and Troubleshooting skills. Ability to take a problem to resolution in a timely manner.Skilled investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of performance issues.

 

Desired

Experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.Experience with medical-related protocols, such as DICOM and HL7.Experience with VMware and vCenter.Experience with Network Data Storage Systems.Experience with Network Configuration.Experience with Load Balancing.Experience with Hardware Components as they relate to performance

Physical Requirements:


The position requires the ability to perform the following physical demands and/or have
the listed capabilities.

The ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time.The ability to use your hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time.The ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time.The ability to lift and carry up to ten pounds up to 20% of applicable work time.Close Vision: The ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.

Travel:

Occasional (up to 10%) travel may be required based on business need.
