Sr Engineer Program Manager
**Key Responsibilities** + Provide leadership of large complex engineering development projects including customer and supplier management responsibilities. Lead a broad cross functional team and manage a total engineering cost input responsibility of >$10M annually, covering multiple locations and suppliers. + Strong technical background in Environmental Control Systems (ECS) & thermal management technologies with experience implementing these technologies on aerospace applications, including vapor cycle, air cycle, and liquid cooling system architectures, with a proven ability to collaborate with & provide guidance to the technical team. + Responsible for programmatic decision making and directing Systems and Project Engineers assigned to the systems development efforts. + Responsible for technical, budget and schedule performance to meet committed delivery. Addresses barriers to project success by elimination or escalation. Works with customer counterparts to meet critical KPIs and schedule commitments to ensure project success. + Instill a strong management operating system that facilitates communication of project performance, key technical indicators and feedback mechanism for internal and external stakeholders. Drive execution to ensure compliance with Honeywell and customer process requirements for development and delivery. + Train and mentor others in application of fundamental engineering project management tools supporting project scheduling, budget, and earned value principles. + Work with support groups to identify and execute improvement activities to reduce cost and cycle time. + Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key customers to identify new business opportunities. Lead significant proposal efforts on complex integration programs and ensures alignment of customer needs to business offerings. + Facilitate staffing and resource allocation for domestic and global personnel. Work with other functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives. + Communicate effectively in all directions within the organization. Tailor message and style for each audience. Use influence skills internally and externally to break barriers. Persuade external parties to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches. **YOU MUST HAVE** + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics + 12 or more years project and/or systems engineering experience + Demonstrated ability leading large cross-functional teams and managing a total engineering cost input responsibility of >$10M annually. **WE VALUE** + Direct Environmental Control System (ECS) development program planning and execution experience is a plus. + Background in ECS technology, architecture studies, and analysis is a plus + Excellent understanding of the business objectives and ability to interact with our customers and Honeywell Senior leadership (internal and external). + Excellent writing skills and ability to decompose requirements from vague or incomplete documents. + Ability to differentiate customer needs from customer wants and escalate appropriately to ensure alignment of Program objectives. + Able to clearly and succinctly communicate status, risks, and required actions up and down the organization with positive executive presence as well as teaming and team building with the execution teams. + Business acumen – knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application within the industry + Diverse and global teaming and collaboration + Strong management operating system that facilitates communication + Ensures that departmental core competencies include continuous PE skill development. + Understand of business objectives and more importantly the ability to interact with our customers + Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives. + Persuade to influence other to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches + Significant experience in engineering **US PERSON REQUIREMENTS** Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization The annual base salary range for this position is $165,000 - $247,000 Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
