Leads embedded software development for surgical robotics platforms with expertise in C++, RTOS, and object-oriented programming.
Required Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 7 years of embedded software development experience
Proficiency in C++ and Python
Hands-on development and troubleshooting of embedded devices
Strong understanding of Linux, QNX, or other RTOS
Experience in regulated industries (medical device experience strongly preferred)
Proven track record of stable and consistent work history
Preferred Skills
Experience in software architecture and design
Background in surgical equipment, robotics, or medical devices
Experience leading engineering teams
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe software development practices
Ability to act as scrum master or product owner as needed
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and validate embedded software for surgical robotic platforms
Participate in requirements definition, design reviews, coding, unit testing, and system verification/validation
Troubleshoot and resolve embedded device issues in real time
Contribute to software architecture and design improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical and electrical engineers
Participate in scrum activities and assume scrum master or product owner responsibilities when required
Support continuous improvement of software development processes
Pay Details: $54.00 to $72.00 per hour
