DESCRIPTION:
As a Senior Director of Procurement/Sourcing at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will guide strategic procurement vision and execution across complex global categories. You'll collaborate closely with divisional operations leaders to develop and implement long-term strategies that optimize quality, cycle time, risk management, and total cost of ownership. Managing a high-achieving team, you'll focus on building supplier partnerships, fostering innovation, and delivering measurable value through strategic sourcing initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by shaping procurement strategies that support our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in procurement/sourcing in a large matrix organization, including leadership roles
• Preferred Fields of Study: Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
• CPM, CPSM or equivalent procurement certification preferred
• Demonstrated success developing and executing global category management strategies
• Strong business acumen with proven ability to improve P&L through strategic sourcing
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels
• Deep expertise in strategic sourcing methodologies, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management
• Experience building and developing effective procurement teams
• Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills
• Ability to facilitate change and work effectively in a complex global organization
• Experience with e-sourcing tools, spend analytics, and procurement systems
• Knowledge of supplier quality management and regulatory compliance requirements
• Global business experience preferred, including managing diverse teams
• Travel required
