Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine **This Senior Director will:** + Partner with the R&D CDSO, the therapeutic and functional areas to develop and deliver the near-term and long-term data science and digital health strategies, while partnering to implement key critical initiatives across the organization. + Demonstrate strong leadership by working independently through the organization to deliver on team priorities while acting as a key sounding board for the CDSO. + Lead critical initiatives in the enterprise wide Data and AI Councils + Lead and coordinate execution of key operations including data science activities, forums, and other events as they arise. + Responsible for the strategic agenda including planning agendas, R&D Data Science & Digital Health reviews, senior leadership team meetings, and beyond. Ensure strategic and operational agenda is appropriately shared with leadership teams. + Ensure clear and consistent communication and consolidate input from across the therapeutic / functional areas to ensure that we consider and represent all views. + Gain and incorporate deep external insights on the long-term view of our organization in healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry. + Lead and partner with external entities as we engage them, such as management consulting firms and subject matter specialists. + Develop a deep understanding and insight into our partners and understand and align the challenges and value of use cases with these key partners. **Required:** + Advanced degree (PhD, MBA, or MS) with a minimum of 10 years’ professional experience is required. + 3+ years’ experience in data science, AI, and digital health in a company ranging from start-ups to consulting firms with established Data Science practices or large Fortune 500 companies. + Accountable for R&D Data Science direct and indirect budget + Proven experience in science & technology strategy development, portfolio management, and critical initiatives management. + Experience leading change initiatives in a sizable organization(s). + Significant experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in the analysis and synthesis of sophisticated data towards the goal of building and executing on key strategies. + Ability to translate data into information and strategies into executable action plans. + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
