The Senior Director, Labor Planning will build and lead Learning Care Group’s enterprise labor planning function for 1,100+ schools nationwide. This role will own a dynamic, reality-based labor model, establish a disciplined planning cadence tied to our five-year plan, and partner cross-functionally to deliver accurate, executable school-level targets. This role will actively architect models, stand up processes and tools, and coach a team while collaborating closely with Operations and HR to drive measurable cost, service, and compliance outcomes.
Essential Functions:
+ Own enterprise labor model methodology and governance, incorporating forecasted attendance, FT/PT mix, overtime, wage assumptions, geographic variation, and regulatory ratio requirements.
+ Lead the annual labor planning process aligned to the five-year plan and efficiency targets; establish guardrails and decision rights.
+ Translate forecasts into weekly and biweekly school-level labor targets, cascaded into actionable daily guidance.
+ Maintain a dynamic labor model with monthly and quarterly reforecasts, updating assumptions based on field realities and performance learnings.
+ Identify and size efficiency opportunities—including FT/PT mix, overtime control, staffing allocation, and wage dynamics—to optimize labor cost per child and school margin.
+ Build and maintain labor performance reporting, including plan vs. actual, variance drivers, ratio risk, OT%, and labor $/student; develop executive and field dashboards.
+ Define requirements and ROI for labor planning/WFM platforms; optimize existing Excel/BI processes and co-lead tool selection and implementation with Tech/HRIS.
+ Partner with Operations and Operational Excellence to ensure labor plans are executable and support accountability to targets.
+ Collaborate with HR Compensation and Workforce Planning teams on wage and role assumptions, translating labor plans into scheduling parameters and practices.
+ Participate in strategic labor planning, analysis, and reporting forums; periodically present insights to the Executive Leadership Team.
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals; establish objectives, standards, and best practices.
+ Foster a high-performance, analytical culture emphasizing execution, decision support, and continuous improvement.

Education
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field required.
+ MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
+ 10+ years in FP&A, labor planning, or workforce analytics in multi‑unit, hourly environments (e.g., retail, healthcare, dental/medical groups, hospitality, education) required.
+ Experience building and owning labor planning models tied to demand drivers (enrollment/attendance, appointments, traffic) and issuing targets to the field required.
+ Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel including familiarity with Power Query/PowerBI or Tableau, exposure to WFM/Labor Planning Systems (e.g. UKG/Kronos, Workday, ADP, Ceridian) preferred.

+ Effective communicator with ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
+ Proven ability to deliver compelling presentations to large audiences and cultivate strong professional relationships.
+ Collaborative ability to partner effectively across multiple functions and teams to achieve organizational goals including HR and Operations.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Travel
Up to 15% travel required.
Compensation and Benefits:
+ Compensation based on position, education and experience. Bi-weekly paid.
+ Base salary range: $165-185k
+ This position is also eligible for our Support Central bonus program which is based on annual achievement of company performance.
