Job Description We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team focused on delivering innovative solutions for the Canadian mortgage industry. You will play a key role in designing, automating, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD processes for our fully serverless, AWS based platform. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, serverless infrastructure on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, Step Functions, etc.). • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ensuring consistency and reliability across environments. • Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, enabling automated, high-confidence deployments. • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure high availability and reliability of production systems. • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to improve deployment workflows, release processes, and overall development velocity. • Ensure cloud security best practices are met, particularly in the context of fintech and mortgage-industry compliance. • Troubleshoot performance, security, or operational issues across cloud and pipeline systems. • Advocate for DevOps best practices, automation, and continuous improvement across the organization. Skills and Requirements Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles. • Strong expertise with AWS cloud services, ideally with serverless architectures. • Hands-on experience with Terraform for IaC in production environments. • Proficiency building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred). • Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and observability. • Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.). • Strong problem solving skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment. Nice to Have • Experience in financial services, lending, or mortgage technology. • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and microservices. • Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud compliance best practices.
