Job Description
A leading media and entertainment company is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Ad Tech Platform team and help scale its Ads Data Systems and Data Management Platform. This high-impact role involves designing and building resilient data pipelines, enabling advanced analytics, and integrating with cutting-edge technologies such as AWS Clean Rooms, Snowflake, and Databricks.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in data engineering, particularly within the AdTech ecosystem, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This role is approximately 80% hands-on development and design, with the remaining 20% focused on team coordination, including cross-functional collaboration and working closely with internal stakeholders.

Skills and Requirements
5+ years of experience in data engineering
Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and Apache Spark for building scalable data pipelines and performing complex data transformations.
Hands-on experience with AWS services, including S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and EMR, for cloud-native data processing and orchestration.
Expertise in modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Amazon Redshift, with a strong understanding of their roles in analytics and warehousing.
Solid grasp of end-to-end ETL processes, including data warehousing, data modeling, and pipeline optimization.
Experience working with advertising-specific data sources, such as ad server logs, pixel tracking data, and bid logs, with the ability to extract actionable insights from high-volume, event-based datasets.
Experience working with media data, with a clear understanding of how it drives business decisions, audience insights, and monetization strategies.
Hands-on experience with advertising platforms, including campaign management, data integration, and performance analytics within the AdTech ecosystem.
Familiarity with identity resolution technologies, such as identity graphs, and a solid understanding of audience targeting methodologies, including how user data is matched, segmented, and activated across platforms. Experience with attribution modeling and conversion tracking, including designing frameworks to measure campaign effectiveness and user journey impact across platforms.
Strong understanding of data governance principles, including data privacy, compliance, and quality assurance best practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data assets.
Proven experience integrating with external data partners, including onboarding third-party datasets, managing data contracts, and ensuring seamless ingestion and alignment with internal systems.
Exposure to cross-platform advertising reporting and campaign tracking, with the ability to unify metrics across linear TV, CTV, web, and mobile to deliver comprehensive performance insights.
