Job Summary:

The Senior Compensation Analyst provides professional support in the administration of Wellstar Health System compensation policies and procedures. The Senior Compensation Analyst works with a variety of stakeholders across the System to develop and present creative compensation alternatives while maintaining consistency with Wellstar's general compensation philosophy and policies. The Senior Compensation Analyst is a highly visible customer service-oriented position that will perform high-volume, time sensitive, and confidential document review and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction. The Senior Compensation Analyst will provide support, guidance, and advice on standard and complex issues.

 

The Senior Compensation Analyst will have an expectation of a high sense of urgency, strong project management skills and the ability to deliver accurate work in a highly complex and fast-paced environment, desire and willingness to provide support to senior Team Members.



Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Function as Compensation department SME (to clients and HR) for multiple disciplines, processes and/or client services.Provide Compensation consulting to partners, clients, and leadersGuide facility human resources with compensation related processes; evaluates issues and provides problem resolution; handles compensation interpretations and resolutions.Present and provide compensation content and input to partners, clients, and leaders, such as educating department managers and other members of Wellstar Health System about compensation philosophy, regulatory issues affecting employment, payment of wages, etc.Investigate employee complaints and/or department manager’s requests regarding regulatory issues.Develop a proactive relationship with partners, clients, and leaders in assigned support areasLead market survey submissions and partners with external and internal resources as required.Conduct comprehensive equity analysis, summarize information and assists in the development of recommended actions in support of compensation policies and proceduresAdminister the research, consolidation and interpretation of data required by leadershipReview job descriptions to ensure accuracy of job content and qualifications, in alignment with market data. Analyze positions to determine FLSA classificationConduct research to understand external market trends and practices and make recommendations to incorporate relevant findings into System practices and compensation structure.Leverage knowledge of Wellstar data sets, business dynamics, and internal/external trends to conduct proactive analysis in the identification of trends and assessment of Wellstar posture vs market.Evaluate new job classifications based on job descriptions and approves salary grade assignments.Provide project management support and and may lead small to large-scale initiatives, analysis in the planning, coordination, administration, and reporting of compensation requests and annual incentive programs



Required Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Human Resources Management, or Finance - Required

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Required Minimum Experience:

Minimum 5 years: of related experience including compensation, human resources, data analytics, business operations, or finance planning or operations -

Required

 

Minimum 3 years: Proficient level in data analytics and associated software and tools, process improvement and implementation, storytelling, and consulting skills -

Preferred

 

Minimum 3 years: Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws -

Preferred

 

 

Background in healthcare a plus



Required Minimum Skills:

Advanced in Microsoft Excel, ability to use formulas, create pivot tables, develop macros, etc.

Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, Powerpoint)

Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and comfortable in a face-paced environment

Communicates effectively, both verbal and written form

Market analysis, cost modeling, presentation skills

Strong Customer Service competency

Experience with Workday, preferred
