Sr Chemical Designer

BIM/CAD Piping Design Administrator responsible for project-specific BIM setups, CAD standards, and coordination for 3D-based process piping projects.

Job Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in layout of process and mechanical equipment and associated piping design.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a BIM/CAD administrator role.

Advanced user of CADWorx 3D design software, with experience both as a designer and performing BIM/CAD admin work.

Experience with clash detection, model coordination, and layer auditing.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Navisworks for model review and clash coordination.

Experience with process mechanical piping systems, industrial waste, and high purity water systems.

Microelectronics facility project experience.

Familiarity with pipe installation details and pipe supports.

Job Responsibilities

Set up project-specific BIM/CAD environments for clients requiring primarily 3D-based deliverables.

Coordinate and manage clash detection, clash adjudication, and layer auditing activities.

Facilitate and implement changes in BIM/CAD standards in collaboration with the Design Automation Group.

Communicate and coordinate with the Design Automation Group and design leads regarding piping designer needs and standards.

Set up and facilitate regular designer check-ins related to BIM/CAD workflows and standards.

Update the BIM team with new information on software, tools, and workflows.

Administer and develop training materials related to BIM/CAD software and standards.

Document workflows, tools, and best practices related to BIM/CAD software.

Conduct piping designer onboarding for new projects, including standards, workflows, and tools orientation.



Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
