Medtronic Diabetes is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Business Analyst to support our Diabetes Transformation Project Management Office (PMO). This role sits within the Transformation Office PMO and focuses on portfolio governance, planning, reporting, business analysis, and stakeholder coordination. The position partners with business and technology teams but does not perform hands-on technical development. This role will assist in the coordination and tracking of key initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes, enhancing care delivery, and optimizing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including business, finance, operations, and leadership to support project execution and ensure alignment across stakeholders.

This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care. Our Transformation team will play a pivotal role in the journey to become a standalone company. 

The preferred location for this role is Northridge, CA, but we’re open to remote work for highly qualified candidates.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Support PMO governance processes including intake, prioritization, and status reporting Develop and maintain project artifacts (charters, RAID logs, timelines, financial tracking) Elicit, document, and manage business requirements and success metrics Prepare executive-ready dashboards and presentations for leadership forums Facilitate stakeholder meetings, decision tracking, and follow-ups Partner with delivery teams to track milestones, dependencies, and risks (without owning technical execution) Assist in updating project plans, timelines, and task trackers. Help coordinate project activities and follow up on action items. Support documentation of scope, budget estimates, and resource need Help schedule meetings and prepare communication materials for stakeholders. Maintain contact lists and assist with onboarding logistics for new team members. Support the preparation of regular updates and presentations for leadership. Perform basic data hygiene tasks and ensure accuracy in project tracking tools. Support user access requests and help troubleshoot tool-related issues Support data extraction and validation tasks, ensuring accuracy and consistency across high-volume datasets 

 

Other Responsibilities 

Performance Reporting: 

Compile data for dashboards and assist in validating KPIs. Support report distribution and help identify trends or variances. 

 

Change Management Assistance: 

Help coordinate training sessions and user adoption activities. Assist in preparing change communications and tracking feedback. 

 

Team Collaboration & Communication: 

Schedule and facilitate team meetings and workshops. Maintain shared documentation and communication channels. Support recognition and engagement activities. 

 

 Process Improvement Participation: 

Contribute ideas for improving PMO processes and tools. Document lessons learned and assist in updating procedures. 

 

 Compliance & Quality Support: 

Help ensure project documentation meets quality standards. Maintain audit trails and assist with compliance checks. 

 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of Project/Program Management experience Or, advanced degree with 2+ years of Project/Program Management experience 

Nice to Have

Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Experience supporting enterprise initiatives through portfolio planning, business requirements documentation, dependency tracking, and executive-level reporting within a PMO or Transformation Office Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with experience supporting delivery teams through planning, reporting, and governance activities. Strong experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, MS Project, and PowerPoint Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to support stakeholder interactions and meeting coordination Demonstrates professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$86,400.00 - $129,600.00

 

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
