Job Title
Sr Business Development Manager - Medical Device (Implantable)As the Business Development Sr Manager - Bioceramics, you will be responsible for leveraging your experience in the medical device industry, including but not limited to, Total Joint Replacement, Regulatory Requirements, R&D Testing, Market Intelligence, and Medical Device Operations.You will be responsible for generating incremental CoorsTek business including building and maintaining relationships within accounts, acquiring new business, and supporting company-wide growth strategies. You will identify and drive new sales opportunities with new and existing customers through the customer pathway. You will be responsible for accounts having significant complexity, revenue, and opportunity with a strategic or global scope.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Identify, develop, and maintain business growth opportunities with customers. Builds and maintains strong relationships with new and existing key customer contacts including design engineers, commercial teams, buyers, program managers and executives.Develop short and long-term commercial opportunity pipeline for new and existing markets and accounts.Identify new markets/procedures Ceramics should be actively engaged in. Work with regional and vertical leaders as well as strategic insights to develop a market penetration strategy.Drive new product development and growth activities including:Initiate, develop and define key customer/market requirementsAct as technical consultant/liaison to customer teamsCommunicate customer needs to the broader CoorsTek organization including engineering and manufacturing teamsMatch customer needs with the best fit CoorsTek factoriesDrives data supported internal decision making on long term growth investments including capital equipment and R&D programsDevelop strategies to meet and exceed increased revenue and profitability goals, including account specific plans and plays lead role in successfully closing business deals. May include contract and commercial negotiations.Develop and maintain a strong understanding of market conditions/trends and customer needs.Create a collaborative effort between CoorsTek sales, engineering and manufacturing to deliver what customers need and actively grow the business.Create demand for CoorsTek products and solutions through proactive selling and education of customers through proposals and other forums.Build a positive CoorsTek reputation throughout the market via activities such as trade shows, advertising, strategic partnering and participation with industry organizations.May lead functional team or projects that extend beyond the sales organization.May provide guidance to other colleagues.Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelors’ Degree, MBA preferred7-10 years combination of education and work experience that demonstrates the ability to plan and execute extremely complex sales or account management processes required.7+ years business development/medical device marketing experience.7-10 years of experience in the medical device field, preferably with implantable devices related to total arthroplasty.Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong sales process understanding, high volume pipeline management. Strategic selling experience required. Segment ownership awareness, high degree of financial acumen, proficient in operations/manufacturing.Deep understanding of, or aptitude and capacity to develop expertise in, the full range of CoorsTek materials, products and market segmentsAbility to manage through uncertain environments while identifying new business opportunitiesStrong negotiation skills.Experience with contract negotiation.Previous experience with Salesforce.Must be proficient in working with diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds, exhibit strong interpersonal and organizational skills, great attention to detail as well as excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.Role Specific Requirements:
Medical Device (Implantable) experience required. Medical Device Manufacturing experience a plus.Understanding of requirements in ISO 13485 Facilities. Travel: up to 50%. Could include international and domestic travel.Location: Golden, CO or Grand Junction, COTarget Hiring Range
Annual Salary: USD 163,794.00 - USD 215,000.00Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
