Job Description:

Monitor daily Netbackup activity and reporting to proactively avoid issuesTroubleshoot and resolve missed and failed Netbackup backupsInterface with vendors for escalation of issuesprocessing of tapes for offsite storageUpdate Netbackup policies and proceduresGood in excel for any manual reporting.Experience on tape drives and librariesexperience in Data Domain with VERITAS Netbackup / Any other Enterprise Level Backup ApplicationHands on experience on De-duplication, Replication & Storage Life Cycle Policies ConceptsExperience in Configuring and troubleshooting of Storage Life Cycle policiesknowledge on Capacity PlanningHands-on experience in implementation of Boost, OST & VTL solutionknowledge of managing and administering of Data Domain systemSystem administration experience on Windows, HPUX or Sun Solaris, and knowledge on VMware would be an added value.Knowledge on ITIL processes like Incident management, Problem Management and Change Management processes.Certification on Data Domain/Netbackup technology is an added advantage.Acclimatized & cognizant of the process to log case &  work with Vendor SupportProvide operational support on a 24x7 rotation basis.
