Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst - Data is responsible for assisting with various responsibilities on the Data Governance/Data Quality team, to include assisting in defining data quality metrics and monitoring the quality of data at Ascension. This position will work with various stakeholders within and without Data Governance, Ascension Technologies and various operational teams, to include the Data Governance Lead and Data Governance Stewardship Communities to measure/quantify data quality, assist in setting data standards and ensure that data is fit for purpose within specific applications/datasets and across various use cases within the Ascension ecosystem.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists data quality team with tasks to include:
Defines data quality dimensions and capabilities that will help measure data qualityDefines and monitors data quality metrics through a data quality scorecardCoordinates with leaders and Data Stewards to evangelize the importance of data qualityIdentifies and manages critical data quality issues and risksCreation of Data Quality related materialFacilitates Data Quality related discussions within Data Working GroupsFacilitates reviews of data quality policies, rules, and standardsFormulates and drives the implementation plans for data quality across domainsProvides guidance to the business around data quality metricsMaintains knowledge of industry standards and trends, and drives application of such standards within AscensionSupports implementation of data quality toolsSupports the development of quality and performance metric tracking toolsDevelops audit plans and works with Data Domain/operational Leaders and Data Stewards to execute data quality audits, assess results and development of remediation plansInitiate/monitor data clean up exercises based on the monitoring of data quality

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Data or Healthcare related major Experience working in a healthcare environment preferredGeneral knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality framework and business rulesBasic knowledge of backend database configuration and processesPrevious master domain management (provider, patient, location), provider credentialing/enrollment and/or clinical systems/electronic health records (Cerner, athena, EPIC) knowledge is preferred, both in the inpatient and ambulatory settingsProficient SQL and/or GCP/Big Query coding skillsRequirements
Education:
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Additional Preferences#LI-Remote
