Major Duties :1. Builds/Maintains close working relationships with counterparts for best practice sharing, internal consulting/pricing product in support of valuations
2. Investigate and conclude root cause for errors
3. Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
4. Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees
5. May manage daily operational activities and get involved in work allocation, trainings and become the first point of contact for escalations
6. Introduce staff to new systems and procedures
7. Responsible for obtaining and applying fluent working knowledge of Northern Trust's Pricing Guidelines to all pricing activities
8. Keeps abreast of emerging industry trends, and reflects industry knowledge in internal decision making and improvement recommendations
Knowledge: Excellent oral and written communication skills are required along with the ability to tailor communications/delivery of communications appropriately for internal and external clients
Ability to analyze and assimilate information quickly for complex alternative instrument strategy
Good understanding of the dynamics of pricing function end to end and in particular from an operational and valuation viewpoint.
Functional/Industry knowledge is required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
Knowledge of and ability to apply Northern Trust's Pricing Guidelines to all pricing activities, decisions and plans
Experience: A college or university degree and relevant work experience is preferred.
Related industry qualification or studying towards, is preferred
Strong working knowledge of market data vendors and products is required
Salary Range:
$47,500 - 71,300 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
