Sr Analyst, IT Quality Control

What IT Quality Control contributes to Cardinal Health

Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

Quality Control analyzes and inspects Information Technology products and processes for compliance to internal and external specifications and standards. This job family collaborates with IT Project Management, Business Integration, and Application Development & Maintenance teams, among others, during implementation and integration projects to proactively identify compliance requirements and risks. Quality Control also conducts regular audits and develops and communicates new quality control procedures for the function.

What is expected of you and others at this level

Ability to perform functional testing, smoke testing, performance, load testing, security testing, API testing and end-to-end testingExecute both manual and automated test scripts. Code and implement automated tests using specialized software platformsCommunicate with stakeholders to understand and clarify software requirementsAnalyze test results to predict user behavior, identify bugs, and suggest solutions to minimize problemsWork closely with product development and development teams to ensure timely delivery of the projectPerform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolvedKeep track of quality metricsReviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedbackCreating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test casesEstimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activitiesVerify that the final product meets the requirementAnalyze product features and suggest changes to enhance them to make them more efficient and user friendlyStay up to date with the latest industry developments, standards, and regulationsUse agile workflows using project management toolsUnderstand quality assurance management tools

Qualifications

3-4 years of experience, preferredBachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferredStrong knowledge of software QA Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test casesStrong experience with automated testing toolsBasic knowledge of SQL and scripting methodologies, tools, and processesGood Understand functional testing, smoke testing, performance, load testing, security testing, API testing and end-to-end testingExperience in web technologies, software development and testing using programming languagesExperience in working with various testing toolsExperience in software development testing & software quality assuranceExperience working in an Agile/Scrum development processStrong communication skills, both written and spoken
