Job Description

The purpose of this job is to financially, analytically, and commercially support the existing and new investments within the Alternative Fuels team. The Alternative Fuels team is looking at investments in Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, hydrogen refueling stations, and onsite battery energy storage systems and power generation.

Essential Functions

Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate investment opportunitiesAnalyze data from third-party research, internal data, finance, accounting, and operations to produce ad hoc analysis and materialsPrepare executive presentations, board materials, and financial reports, covering existing investments and new investment opportunitiesPrepare budgets, forecasts, and other reports needed to support Alternative Fuel’s weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activitiesAnalyze variances between actuals and forecasts to identify the key drivers impacting business performanceReview and draft commercial contracts, partnership agreements, term sheets, and non-disclosure agreements. in partnership with legal.Collaborate with internal teams in operations, finance, accounting, legal, and credit to determine investment risks, need for support, and for reporting purposesDevelop general market knowledge through reading market research reports, specialized publications, and other source materialsComplete other duties as assigned

QualificationsBachelor’s degree with a focus in finance, accounting, or economicsMinimum of 4+ years of combined experience in investment banking, M&A, consulting, and/or corporate development

Specialized Knowledge

Advanced Excel modeling, quantitative and analytical skillsProven experience with greenfield, brownfield, and/or M&A investmentsDemonstrated working knowledge of EV and/or Hydrogen markets
