The Sr Accounting Coordinator is an established performer that supports the department by completing clerical work and monitoring records. This role also serves as a point of contact to resolve any questions from internal or external stakeholders for assigned accounts. 

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

Prepare and publish monthly journal entries. Prepare general ledger accounts reconciliations for assigned accounts and take necessary steps to troubleshoot and correct issues. Review balance sheet reports and report any significant fluctuations in accrued liabilities. Contact IT if reconciliation downloads are not functioning properly. Perform system administrator duties for the Rebate System (Vistex). Work to resolve discrepancies in the balancing process between Vistex and SAP. Assist with the development, documentation, and implementation of accounting procedures, policies, and standards. Assist with training less experienced team members, include quality checking their work, training, technical guidance, and serving as a resource for resolution of issues. Assist management with planning, implementing, and monitoring department goals. Perform other duties as needed.

Required Experience and Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience. 0-2 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.

 

Competencies:

Applies conceptual knowledge of the theories, practices, and procedures within a discipline. Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data. Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products with highly strong Excel skills. Knowledge of accounting terminology, practices, and concepts. High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
