Sr Accountant

The Sr Accountant – Financial Reporting is responsible for the accounting, reconciliation, and reporting processes for the company’s leased real estate. This role plays a pivotal part in financial close cycles, audit readiness, and regulatory filings. This role requires collaboration across HR, Finance, and Internal Audit to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance within a high-performance accounting function.

Major Activities

Lead preparation of financial statements and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements (10-Q, 10-K, S-1)Support IPO readiness activities, including drafting and reviewing S-1 filings, audit coordination, and control enhancementsEnsure GAAP-compliant accounting of leases.Partner with external auditors to ensure clean audits and timely filingsDevelop and maintain internal reporting packages for PE sponsors and executive leadership.Assist with research and recommend changes in accounting for new literature related to US GAAP, SOX, or SEC compliance.Evaluate and enhance accounting processes for efficiency and compliance.Fulfill the business partnership role for financial reporting, with a focus on profit and process improvement, providing support to the management team and cross-functional and cross-divisional business partners

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills

Strong accounting (GAAP) skillsProficiency in MS Excel

Minimum Type of experience the job requires

3+ years of general accounting experience

Preferred Education

Masters of Accountancy
 

Preferred Special Certifications or technical skills

Public accounting experience is strongly preferred.CPA or working towards CPA licensing.

Preferred Type of experience the job requires

3+ years of general accounting experience in retail2+ years of Supervisory experienceExperience with SEC reporting requirements
