Sr Accountant
Description Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant with 5+ years of experience to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who thrive on working “in the weeds” of accounting, possess expertise in process improvement, and excel at navigating complex financial landscapes. If you have proficiency in basic financial analysis and hands-on experience with 3-5 large ERP systems, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities: + Perform advanced accounting tasks including general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting. + Conduct basic financial analysis to identify trends and provide insights that drive business decisions. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and execute process improvements, streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency across accounting operations. + Utilize advanced knowledge of large ERP systems to manage financial data, troubleshoot system issues, and support migrations or enhancements. + Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and company policies, contributing to audit readiness as needed. + Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements and reports, contributing to the overall health and performance of the organization’s accounting operations. + Serve as a mentor to junior staff, offering guidance and technical expertise as part of a collaborative, high-performing team. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a plus but not required. + 5+ years of relevant accounting experience with demonstrated success in performing detailed, hands-on accounting functions. + Proficiency in navigating 3-5 large ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar). + Proven ability to conduct basic financial analysis and leverage insights for effective problem-solving and decision-making. + Track record of identifying and implementing process improvements that streamline workflows and enhance accuracy. + Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines. + Strong Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, advanced formulas) and familiarity with general accounting software. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Preferred Skills: + Experience in industries such as manufacturing, construction, healthcare, or professional services is highly desirable. + Exposure to audit processes and compliance-related tasks is a strong advantage.
